The latest updates in Physical Education and Sport

📣 3-6 Athletics Trials Day – Monday 11th August

A reminder that our Grade 3–6 Athletics Trials Day is coming up on Monday 11th August, and will take place at Ringwood Athletics Track, Proclamation Park.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all students in Grades 3–6 to apply the athletics skills they’ve been learning in PE lessons, while enjoying a fun and supportive competition with their peers. Results from the day will help us select the Holy Spirit Athletics Team to compete at the District Athletics later this term.

All students will participate in:

Long Jump
Triple Jump
Shot Put
Discus
100m sprint (Top 8 from each 100m race will also run in the 200m sprint)

Students will compete in age/gender groups: 9/10 years & under, 11 years, and 12/13 years, based on their age as of 31st December 2025.

👕 Uniform: Full school sports uniform (shorts/tracksuit pants and school sports top)

🧥 Weather: Please pack a coat – students need to be prepared for all weather conditions

🍎 What to bring: Healthy morning tea, lunch, water bottle, and a warm coat

Canteen Access:The canteen facilities at the track will be available for students to purchase a snack during their scheduled breaks.

We ask that no more than $10 is sent with your child, and that canteen snacks are not relied on as their only source of food — please still send lunch and snacks from home.

Students will not be able to purchase soft drinks or hot drinks.

✨ Lunchtime House Activities

Our Lunchtime House Activities are in full swing! These fun, friendly competitions continue every Monday lunchtime, rotating between Years 3–6 and Prep–2 students.

A huge thank you to Beck and our amazing House Captains for leading with energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of team spirit. It’s been wonderful to see so many students getting involved and showing their colours with pride!

🌅 Run/Walk Club

Start your Fridays with a burst of energy! Join us on the oval at 8:35am for our Run/Walk Club. Don’t forget:

✔️ Wait at the gates for them to open

✔️ Drop your bag at your classroom

✔️ Head straight to the oval, ready to move!

All students are welcome—whether you're walking, jogging, or going for a personal best!
