Learning together as one community

Portfolios

This semester, our teachers will be sharing portfolio tasks with you via ClassDojo.

These tasks are designed to provide you with an in-time snapshot of your child’s learning and progress. They offer valuable insights into the knowledge and skills your child is developing across different learning areas.

Our teachers will send a notification when these tasks are uploaded, so you don’t miss the opportunity to view, celebrate, and discuss your child’s learning.

We encourage you to engage with these posts, celebrate your child’s efforts, and use them as a conversation starter about their learning journey.

📚 Book Week is Coming! 📚

We’re excited to celebrate Book Week at Holy Spirit with a range of fun and engaging activities that promote a love of reading!

On Monday 18th August, we will be holding our Dress-Up Day. Students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. We’ll also be hosting a whole-school parade first thing in the morning to showcase our amazing costumes - families are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun!

Throughout the week, students will take part in a variety of literacy-based activities, including visits from authors and illustrators, and special sessions celebrating the joy of storytelling.

📖 The Scholastic Book Fair is also visiting!

Students will browse the fair during class time and complete a wish list to bring home. There is no obligation to buy, but any purchases made will help us earn credits to purchase new literacy resources for our school

It’s a great way to support both your child’s reading and our wider school community.

We can’t wait to see the creativity and excitement as we bring books to life!
