What's On In Foundation

TEDDY BEARS’ PICNIC

Foundation has had a very exciting and joyful end to the term! Last week, we celebrated our much-anticipated Teddy Bears Picnic, which brought plenty of fun and learning into our classroom.

Throughout the week, students participated in a range of teddy bear-themed activities. We enjoyed sharing and exploring bear stories, measuring our teddy bears using informal units, and creating graphs to compare and discuss the different types of bears we brought along. We also spent time learning interesting facts about bears, building both our literacy and numeracy skills in engaging and meaningful ways.

One of the highlights of the week was our teddy bear sleepover! Our teddies stayed overnight at school and certainly got up to some mischief. The next morning, students were delighted to discover their bears in all sorts of funny and unexpected places around the classroom. There was lots of laughter and excitement as we shared where our teddies had ended up!

Mid-week, we came together for our Teddy Bears Picnic afternoon, and it was truly a special event. It was wonderful to see so many families join us for an afternoon of songs, snacks, and fun. The students loved performing the teddy bear songs they had been practising and showed great confidence and enthusiasm in front of an audience. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying time together and celebrating the learning that has taken place.

It has been a fantastic way to finish the term, filled with fun, learning, and memorable moments.
