They didn't derserve that awful experience. I'm glad to know what had happened in the past though so thank you to Ms Lia."

Jordan - "Probably getting to learn all of this and get an experience. Like learning at camp how to do all of those new things and learning about matter in science and Evon Gooliagong who won the single womans tennis event and came back later as a mother and won."

Taiyannah - "I liked learning different types of chemicals that are in things during Science. I liked putting the laboratory coats on and making jelly. Also, making new friends and meeting cousins that are connected to me from different places that I hadn't met before has made me feel good and not lonely."

School Camp

Year 7 had an unforgettable experience at Camp Manyung, where we bonded, worked together as a team, and embraced new challenges. We set off early on Monday morning, taking the bus down and enjoying a scenic stop at the beach along the way.

Throughout the camp, we were proud to show the teachers how responsible we could be, keeping our rooms spotless and taking turns serving dinner. Some of our standout activities included playing in the Gaga pit (Ed, can we please get one at the new school building?!), summoning the courage to tackle the giant swing, and paddling through the waters while canoeing.

By Wednesday afternoon, we were on our way back to Melbourne—happy, exhausted, and filled with great memories from an amazing camp!

My Community Brochure Work Samples

Here are some work samples of things we have been working on in the Year 7 classroom this term. We are creating a brochure on our community; it will have information on bush foods, animals, cultural activities, fire practices and special landmarks. We are so proud of our efforts and cannot wait for all the learning to come next term!
