Rainbow Day - 04 June

Inclusion is very important to us at OPS and we are committed to celebrating inclusion and diversity in many different ways throughout the year. This term, we will be recognising IDAHOBIT - the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia. Celebrated around the world each year in May, IDAHOBIT is a chance to promote kindness, respect, inclusion and belonging for all people.

At Ormond Primary School, we believe everyone in our community should feel safe, valued, and proud to be themselves. IDAHOBIT reminds us that our differences make our community stronger and brighter. To celebrate, we will be holding a “Rainbow Day” on Thursday the 4th of June. Students are invited to come dressed in rainbow colours or bright, colourful clothing to show support for inclusion and diversity within our community. Students can wear their school uniform with a touch of rainbow such as colourful socks, or they can dress up in full colourful casual clothes.

We look forward to a joyful day of colour, kindness and celebrating the wonderful diversity within our school community.
