Nundah Festival

Our sincere thanks to our talented Big Band students, under the direction of Mr Tim Opstelten, for their outstanding performance at the Nundah Festival last Sunday. The ensemble delighted festival attendees with a vibrant selection of big band classics and crowd favourites, creating a lively atmosphere that was enjoyed by all. 

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Mrs Angela Lockyer for generously stepping in on keyboard and supporting the ensemble's performance. Her contribution was greatly appreciated and helped ensure the success of the event.

Congratulations to all involved on representing the College so wonderfully in the community.

Private Music Tuition Billing

Fees for Private Music Tuition for Term 3 will be charged to each student’s billing account in the Term 4 invoice. 

Should parents decide to withdraw their child from Private Tuition, it’s imperative that the Music Department is informed. Failing to cancel lessons in a timely manner will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to two (2) weeks of lessons. To avoid this, please ensure you send a withdrawal notification via email to music@clayfield.qld.edu.au by the end of Term 3.

Musicianship Club - Years 1 and 2

Mondays from 3:15pm to 4:00pm | Primary Music Classroom

Musicianship Club will return in Term 4, running from Week 2 to Week 8. Families wishing to enrol are welcome to do so using the link below:

Senior Music Dinner

Tickets are now available for this year’s Secondary Music Dinner, to be held on Friday 16 October at Nudgee Golf Club, 1207 Nudgee Road. The theme for this year’s event is “Footloose Formal”, and we are excited to see the creative interpretations of the theme from our students.

Open to music students in Years 7 to 12, this special evening provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, dedication and contributions of our Senior Music community. We look forward to gathering with our talented musicians for what promises to be a memorable and enjoyable night. Parents are welcome to join us for the evening.

• Time: 3:15pm to 4:00pm

Dance Troupe for experienced dancers Year 5 and above:

• Day: Monday mornings
• Location: Drama Room
• Time: 7:00am to 8:00am

LUX Exhibition

Join the Clayfield College community in celebrating the Creative Arts at our LUX 26 Exhibition.

Time: 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Location: Learning Resource Centre | Foundation Courtyard | Blackbox Studio

Cost: Entry is free!

LUX 26 Features:

• Visual Arts Graduate Showcase.
• Exhibition of whole College student artwork.

P&F Association Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the P&F Bar at LUX 26. Volunteers will help serve drinks and take payments throughout the evening. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to help! If you are available to lend a hand, we would greatly appreciate your support. Please sign up for your preferred shift via the link below.
