From there the boys advanced to the semi-finals, playing Emmanuel College, Warrnambool.  This was a tight game all day with the lead changing several times.

The final score was 27 - 31 in favour of Emmanuel College.

Senior Girls State Football

It was an early (and chilly!) start for our Senior Girls football team in Ballarat on Wednesday at the State football competition.

But the sun eventually made an appearance and our girls came ready for a hard contest - and they didn’t disappoint!

A brilliant first-quarter goal from Coby got us on the scoreboard, but Montmorency responded quickly, taking a three-goal lead into halftime. The second half was a fierce battle in the middle, with tackles and bumps aplenty, and no goals from either side in the third term.

Our girls fought hard, stayed relentless and never gave up, but couldn’t quite convert when it counted.

Massive shout-out to Coby, Aysha, Rose, Lillie, Maisy, Grace, and Scarlett for their tireless efforts all day.

Final Score: Montmorency 4.7.31 defeated St Joes 1.1.7.
