Gardening News

Schools Tree Day was Friday July 24th, and classes explored the different reasons why trees are important, and why we should plant them in order to look after our environment.

Sweet potato is ready for harvest and the Foundation students enjoyed searching for them in the soil. Worms were found in abundance too so the chickens enjoyed a feast on the extra protein.

The new garden beds and fence are a valuable addition to the outdoor learning space, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. We look forward to planting up the empty beds over the next month.

We thank the Lambrecht and Scanlan families for taking great care of the chickens in the holidays. Thank you to the many families who offered to help.
