On February 16, the language department was excited to invite students and staff to a Rosenmontag Lunchtime Activity to celebrate these fun and colourful parts of German culture.
What is Rosenmontag?
Rosenmontag is a traditional celebration held during Karneval in Germany. It’s known for colour, creativity, music, and good humour, and is often marked by costumes, shared food, and community activities.
To mark the day, we ran a casual lunchtime activity where students:
Many students and teachers joined in the festivities. The German teachers wore traditional Dirndl dresses and took part in the parade, while the Arts leader of Learning Specialist, Mr Pandolfo, and the Assistant Principal, Mr Massouris, organised lively balloon-themed dancing activities.
