Lighting the way for 2027
Mount Alvernia College
Commissioning of our 2027 Captains
Yesterday, we celebrated a significant moment in the life of our College community as we formally commissioned our 2027 Captains and Student Leadership Team. ✨
Surrounded by their families, our incoming student leaders were entrusted with the responsibility of guiding Mount Alvernia College into the future, while we also honoured the leadership, service and commitment of our 2026 Student Leadership Team.
A highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic passing of the lantern from our outgoing leaders to those who will lead in 2027. Representing the light of Franciscan values, servant leadership and community spirit, the lantern serves as a powerful reminder that each generation of leaders carries forward the legacy of those who came before them.
Parents and carers shared a special moment with their daughters as they pinned their leadership badges to their ties, symbolising the responsibility and privilege of leadership.
We thank our 2026 leaders for the lasting impact they have made and congratulate our 2027 Student Leadership Team as they begin this important journey of leadership and service.
