Savannah Captains Beaumaris Lawn to State Grade Premiership
Making moves and adding to her achievements
A huge congratulations to Savannah, who captained the Beaumaris Lawn State Grade team to the Premiership following an incredible grand final victory over Kooyong!
The marathon match began at 1.00pm and continued until after 9.00pm, with Beaumaris taking down a Kooyong side that had been undefeated all season and had won every Women’s State Grade Premiership since the competition was reintroduced in 2023.
The victory adds another impressive achievement to Savannah’s growing list of tennis accomplishments. She is currently the only player in Victoria to hold both the State Grade Premiership and Premier League Premiership, while also holding the singles club championship titles at both Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club and Dendy Park Tennis Club.
Played in front of a large crowd and live streamed, the grand final was a fantastic occasion and an exciting way to cap off an outstanding season.
Savannah’s achievement also caught the attention of the wider tennis community, with an appearance on The First Serve Radio Show on 1116 SEN following the win.
Congratulations Savannah on an incredible achievement and another fantastic milestone in your tennis journey!
