Maiia Crowned Australian National Taekwondo Champion
Taking home the Gold Medal
Brighton Secondary College
What an incredible year it has been for Maiia, who has officially been crowned the 2026 Australian National Taekwondo Champion!
Last weekend, Maiia competed at the 2026 Australian National Taekwondo Championships, taking home the Gold Medal in the Cadet Female Under 55kg division and securing the national title.
The result tops off an outstanding competitive season for Maiia, who has now claimed three major Gold Medals – at the WT President’s Cup Oceania, the 2026 China Open and the Australian National Championships.
Competing at this level takes an enormous amount of dedication, discipline and training, particularly while balancing international competition with school commitments.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Maiia’s achievements and the commitment she continues to show both on and off the mat.
Congratulations, Maiia – Australian National Champion!
