Junior School

你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,

Welcome back to Term 2! We hope that you all had a restful break. It has been wonderful to have students back in our classrooms with students this week.

In English this week, Year 2 have begun their novel study on Fantastic Mr Fox. We have introduced new vocabulary such as ‘lurking’ and ‘lousy’. You might like to try using these words in sentences at home too! Year 1 students have begun to look at the text The Boy Who Tried to Shrink his Name, while Foundation have been responding to the text School for Puppies.

Each level also discusses the meaning of ANZAC Day in preparation for our school ANZAC Day Ceremony on Friday. Thank you to those families who sent along flowers for students to contribute to our reflections.

To see more about what we will be learning in classes this term, please see the links to statements of intent below. These documents outline the intended focus of learning for each level over the next ten weeks. In Term 2, our assemblies will continue to run fortnightly with the next Junior Assembly to take place on Monday 4th of May.

Melinda (Miss Emmett) & Ash (Foundation), Beth, Cassie & Suzie (Year 1), Shaye, Emma & Ella (Year 2)
