OSHClub News

Week 1
Welcome back to an exciting start to Term 2! It’s been a fantastic first week filled with fun, creativity, and plenty of delicious food. 😊
Our Breakfast Club kicked off the mornings with a tasty variety including pancakes, croissants, banana bread, hot cross buns, and refreshing smoothie pops, such a great way to start the day! In the afternoons, our Snack Squad kept everyone fuelled with salad wraps, chicken noodles, spaghetti, nachos, and mini pizzas, which were a big hit with the children.
We explored lots of creative activities, from paper plate spirals and popsicle people to slime and sensory play. The children also loved building 3D cardboard robots, designing Mario colouring pages, and putting their skills to the test with tower building challenges.
There was no shortage of energy during our physical activities! Children enjoyed outdoor plane competitions, basketball, gagaball, grounders on the playground, frisbee games, scavenger hunts, team-building challenges, and creating sandcastles outside.
Our cooking experiences were a highlight this week, with the children baking delicious chocolate chip cookies and baking and decorating their very own cupcakes from scratch!
It’s been wonderful seeing everyone back, engaged, and having fun. We’re looking forward to another great week ahead!
Autumn Holiday Program
Our Great Outdoors holiday program was full of adventure, fresh air, and exciting new experiences! The children had an amazing time exploring, creating, and trying new activities throughout the break.
One of our biggest highlights was our Big Day Out excursion to Treetop Scout Camp, where children enjoyed being active and adventurous in a beautiful outdoor setting. We also had a relaxing cinema experience watching Hoppers, and a fantastic Barefoot Bowls excursion, where everyone had fun learning how to play lawn bowls on the green. Our incursions brought plenty of excitement too, with a Survivor-style outdoor challenge that encouraged teamwork and resilience, as well as a calming and engaging yoga session.
The children also loved our Make and Take activities, getting creative by sewing their own penguin plushies and painting shells to design unique wind chimes to take home. It was a wonderful program filled with laughter, learning, and outdoor fun, we loved seeing the children so engaged and adventurous! 🌞
Mother's Day Treasure Trades
We warmly invite our families to join in a special Treasure Traders Mother’s Day activity! Children can bring along a small, meaningful item from home (something they’re happy to trade), share its story, and swap it for a new treasure to take home. Please help your child choose their item and complete the Treasure Story Card (below or in service) beforehand. It’s a simple and fun way to encourage creativity and connection; and our service could win a $1,000 voucher to go towards new resources and experiences for the children! 💜

Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
