Festival of Music: Concert 1 - A Celebration of Strings
Join our talented young string musicians for Celebration of Strings, an evening showcasing students from beginner ensembles through to advanced performers. Featuring a diverse program of classical favourites, contemporary works and collaborative performances, this concert celebrates the dedication, growth and joy of making music together. A wonderful evening for families and music lovers alike.

Victorian Schools Music Festival
Overnewton College has entries in a number of sections of the prestigious Victorian Schools Music Festival held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre. This week, the Junior Strings, String Fusion and String Orchestra will perform. Parents are welcome to attend, there is no charge.

Year 8, 9 and Senior School offer a range of subjects that lead to or are part of the VCE or VCE VET certificate. As students select their subjects for 2027, they are encouraged to consider the subjects below and to discuss the offerings with a Performing Arts staff member.
