The past two weeks have been very busy in the kitchen! We have been fortunate to have Don’s mum, Rachel, assisting us each week. In Week 5, Eli’s Mum, Rebecca, joined us, and in Week 6, his Dad, Viv, came in to help as well. Their support enabled us to create a range of amazing meals to share.

 

Last week’s menu included Pumpkin Stir Fry with Honey Soy Dressing and Egg Noodles, Potato and Rosemary Pizza, Tomato and Basil Pizza, and Carrot Muffins with Garlic Butter. The week prior, we discovered some potatoes growing in the garden and were very excited to use them on our pizzas!

 

This week, students enjoyed making Basic Bread Rolls, Carrot, Cumin and Herb Fritters with Yoghurt Sauce, Pumpkin Gnocchi, and Rhubarb and Lemon Muffins. It has been fantastic to see students trying so many new foods and meals throughout the semester. Many have even admitted they surprised themselves with what they enjoyed!
