TASTY TRUTHS

CONGRATULATIONS TO YEAR 9 & 10 COOKING STUDENTS

Huge congratulations to our amazing Year 9 and 10 “Tasty Truths” Cooking students for proudly representing our college at the Korumburra District Agricultural and Pastoral Society Inc Show over the weekend!

 

Our talented students showcased their skills in the highly competitive preserves section and brought home second prizes for their delicious zucchini pickles and lemon curd. These outstanding results are a true reflection of their dedication, teamwork and attention to detail throughout the preparation process.

 

Participating in a community event of this calibre not only highlights our students’ culinary talents, but also strengthens our connection with the wider community. It takes confidence to enter work into a public competition, and our students rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and professionalism.

 

The students then used their mixed berry jam and lemon curd in muffins that they produced and topped  with a meringue made with their left-over egg whites, to explore aeration in foods.

 

What a fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud of your hard work, effort and the way you represented our college. We can’t wait to see what you create next!
