YEAR 9/10 MUSIC

This term, students have been developing their understanding of the key musical elements — such as rhythm, pitch, dynamics, texture, structure, and timbre — and exploring how these shape expressive outcomes in music. Through focused listening activities, they have been building confidence in identifying and discussing musical features using appropriate terminology.

Students are also learning a song on an instrument of their choice, applying their knowledge in a practical context. Later this term, they will perform their piece as a solo, demonstrating both technical skill and expressive interpretation.
