School Office
End-of-Day Messages for your child
Before 2:30 pm: If you need to change how your child is going home, please call the office before 2:30pm so we can let their teacher know.
After 2:30 pm: Please only phone the office with urgent changes after this time as we may not always be able to get non-urgent messages to your child in time.
Having a regular end-of-day plan helps your child know what to expect and keeps things running smoothly!
Emailing Important Messages
We would like to remind our community that any time-sensitive messages should be communicated directly to the school office by phone or in person.
While our whole-school email address is checked regularly, we do not want to miss important communications from families regarding absences, medication, or changes to collection arrangements.
For other non-urgent enquiries, please continue to use our school email address and we will respond as soon as we are able. mount.eliza.ps@education.vic.gov.au
Parking at Mt Eliza Primary School
Please park your car correctly and collect your children from the front of the school in the designated areas. Do not beckon your child across the road or double park. We ask that everyone be vigilant with this, as we do not want students running between cars and potentially getting injured. We also ask that parents do not park in the Staff Carpark. Our gates can be shut at any time, so to avoid any inconvenience please only use the designated parent drop-off areas outlined below.
There are 3 designated drop-off areas on the Wooralla Drive service road:
Kiss & Go:
Kiss & Go is a No Parking area where you can pull in and either drop off or collect your children quickly. The line marking this area is painted red to match the sign.
N.B. No Parking means you can stop (for only 2 minutes) but not get out of your car.
Wait A While:
This zone has a 15-minute parking restriction with orange line markings to match the signs.
Stop & Chat:
This is the area for All Day parking and has green line marking painted to match the signs.
Parents should take note of the signs in and around the school, especially in the service lane at the front of the school. The service lane area is not a car park: it is a registered thoroughfare. Parking is only permitted in the marked bays. A stationary car with the engine running and driver present, waiting for a parking bay to become vacant, is considered illegally parked as it is not against the kerb. We also ask that parents do not double park. This area is regularly patrolled by the council and police and is outside of the school’s control if a car was to be fined. Canadian Bay carpark is a great option. Parents are also allowed to park at St James the Less Church car park on the corner of Nepean Highway and Koetong Parade.
Access for Mt Eliza Meteors basketball training is through the side gate adjacent to the old school hall.
Thank you to our families for your continued co-operation and support. If you have any questions the office team are always happy to help.
Kind regards
The MEPS Office Team
