Melbourne Storm visit

On the 8th of August our year 11 VCE-VM students had the pleasure of meeting Josh King for a workshop on the benefit of looking after your mental health and your cognitive stamina as you start to think about entering the adult world of work. Josh shared his journey as a professional Rugby player and electrician and shared his private struggles with balancing all that entails. Josh combined this with a small group Rugby training session to practice the key ideas of focus, teamwork and communication and their importance in the adult world of work. It is fair to say, the students were both physically and personally challenged during this session, and we want to thank Melbourne Storm for the opportunity to do such important work with our young people. We also want to thank our Yr 11 VCE-VM students for being so vulnerable to and open to such an important session.
