Get ready for our 2026 House Fun Run/Lap-a-thon Event!

The House Fun Run Carnival is fast approaching! This event encourages our students to demonstrate their personal best and perseverance by completing as many laps of the course as possible.

After each lap, students will receive an icy pole stick in their house colour. At the end of their run, students will place their sticks into their house-coloured box. The total number of sticks collected will determine the winner of the 2026 House Fun Run Cup!

Date: Wednesday, 25th March

Location: MPHPS Oval

Event Times:

-          Years 3–6: 9:00am

-          Foundation–Year 2: 11:30am

Cross Country Selection (Years 4–6 only):

Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 will be competing within their age groups and may use this event as an opportunity to trial for the school cross country team!

Students who make our team will be expected to run the following distances:

  • 9–10-year-olds: 2km course
  • 11,12, 13-year-olds: 3km course

What to wear

Students are encouraged to come dressed in their house colours. Optional face paint or coloured hairspray may be applied at home.

Students should also:

  • Wear comfortable runners suitable for running
  • Bring a hat and drink bottle
  • Apply sunscreen at home before school and again before the event

Spectators

Families are warmly welcome to attend. Please remain in the designated spectator area and, as a reminder, photographs should only be taken of your own child.

We look forward to seeing all students participate in our first whole-school house event for 2026!
