Respectful Relationship News

Students have completed Topic 1: Emotional Literacy as part of their weekly learning in the Respectful Relationships (RR) program at Mill Park Heights Primary School. All students from Foundation to Year 6 participate in one weekly RR lesson. Students are currently learning about Topic 2: Personal and Cultural Strengths.
Topic 2 is all about Personal strengths which helps to empower students to identify and utilise their unique qualities such as kindness, empathy and resilience. By identifying personal strengths it helps students build their resilience and allows them to use their strengths to navigate challenges.
What are my strengths and positive qualities?
Focusing on our strengths helps us to improve our wellbeing, behaviour and academic achievement.
Our students need to be able to talk about our strengths and positive qualities in order to understand them.
Students learn how to:
- talk about strengths and positive qualities
- recognise our own strengths and positive qualities
- recognise other peoples’ strengths and positive qualities
- focus on strengths when discussing personal, social and ethical challenges.
