Clayfield College Old Collegians’ Association

Celebrating Connection, Mentorship and Clayfield Spirit Across Generations
The Clayfield College Old Collegians’ Association (CCOCA) has had a vibrant and purpose-driven start to 2026, proudly strengthening the partnership between alumni and current students.
Foundation Day
February saw the College gather for the annual Foundation Day Assembly, a cherished tradition honouring the College's history, spirit, and the values that bind generations of Clayfield students together. This year’s Foundation Day also marked the presentation of the 2026 Spirit of Clayfield Award finalists and winners, celebrating individuals who exemplify compassion, leadership, integrity, and service, qualities at the core of the Clayfield ethos. In addition to highlighting student, staff and community contributions, the awards recognise remarkable Old Collegians and we were thrilled to honour Dr Hannah Bennett (Class of 2006) with the Gold Award and Winnie Ma (Class of 2021) with the Green Award.
CCOCA Future Leaders Program | International Women's Day
Through the CCOCA Future Leaders Program, our Year 12 students were inspired by two remarkable Old Collegians, to mark International Women's Day.
Christine Moody (Class of 1977), a highly respected brand strategist, artist and sessional academic at The University of Queensland and QUT, shared insights shaped by creativity and adaptability. Camille Masters (Class of 2014), Senior Financial Analyst at Aurizon and an emerging leader in finance and strategy, spoke with clarity about ambition and recognising opportunity.
Their messages were both powerful and practical. Awareness creates choice, and choice creates change. Be curious. Say yes to opportunities that align with your strengths. Make your ambitions known, think creatively, critically analyse what technology offers, and approach the future with an open mind. Advocate for others, do what you love, and don’t allow bias to define your path. Trust that progress unfolds in its own time.
CCOCA Future Leaders Program | Industry Networking Collective
The second Future Leaders Program event for 2026 was the Industry Networking Collective (INC), where we welcomed alumni and friends of the College back to campus for an inspiring afternoon of professional connection and mentorship. Year 12 students engaged with industry experts in fields including medicine, nursing, allied health, business, law, science, IT, education, people and culture, event management, and professional sport. The alumni and friends of the College generously shared stories of their evolving career paths, reminding students that the most meaningful journeys are shaped by curiosity, courage, and openness to opportunity.
