Boarding Bulletin

We are nearly there! Only one week to go until end of term. Our boarders will commence packing for end of term over the upcoming weekend.

We urgently require your child’s travel itinerary if you have not sent it through to us already. Please be reminded that our Boarding House will close on Thursday 2 April at 4:00pm.

Exam Block

I am very proud of our boarders who have worked very hard with the lead up to end of term assignments and exams. A huge thank you must go to our wonderful tutors and Assistant Director of Boarding, Tina Mills, who has been instrumental in ensuring all boarders are on track with personal learning assessment plans.

Events

On Tuesday evening, we held our first Friends of Boarder Parents Support Group meeting hosted by our co-ordinator, Hannah Madill.

Items discussed were getting a boarding parent table together for the Term 2 Luminous Lunch being held on Friday 12 June, ideas for this year’s Beyond Boarder event and some assistance in boarder parent participation for some boarding socials with other schools.

Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday night will be sent to boarding parents and carers via email on Friday.

Term 2 Commencement

Students may return to the Boarding House from Monday 20 April from 6:30am as school commences on Tuesday 21 April. All boarders are expected to be in-house by 4:30pm on Monday 20 April.

Airport collections are available only on Boarder Travel Day, Monday 20 April, including late night international arrivals. If your child requires transport outside this date, families will need to arrange alternative transport.

A copy of your child's flight itinerary for end of Term 1 and beginning of Term 2 travel is required for the organisation of airport transfers.

Please complete the Leave Arrangements 2026 form below if you are collecting your child or require airport transfers and send to boarding@clayfield.qld.edu.au with the collection and return dates and times.

If your child is departing early in Term 1 or arriving late for Term 2, prior College approval is required before you make travel arrangements. Please complete the Application for Extended Leave form below and email to absences@clayfield.qld.edu.au if your child will miss more than three school days.
