2026 ENCORE

Year 12 Music Students enjoyed a lovely day at the 2026 ENCORE Music Event.

On Monday 2nd of March, our Year 12 Music class travelled to the Sydney Opera House to enjoy the ENCORE Music Concert. Joined by Mrs Allison Lewis and Mrs Elizabeth Cooney.

The annual ENCORE concert showcases the outstanding musicianship of HSC students from NSW schools and their talents as singers, instrumentalists and composers. Presented by the NSW Education Standards Authority, ENCORE is an exciting opportunity for current music students, teachers and the general public to see and hear a selection of exemplary works presented for the 2025 Higher School Certificate Music examinations. The program illustrates the range, variety and challenges offered by the three HSC Music courses across styles, genres and musical periods. Featuring solo and ensemble, vocal and instrumental works, there is something for everyone – from classics to jazz to contemporary music.

2026 Megalong Music Festival 

The Megalong Music Festival will return to the Blue Mountains over Easter 2026, offering two days of chamber music set against the dramatic escarpments of the Megalong Valley.

Now in its second year, the festival will take place on 4 and 5 April at the Megalong Community Hall, inviting audiences to “escape the madding crowds” for an intimate musical weekend on Gundungurra country.
