Achievements & Results

On the 12th of October, we proudly represented Suzanne Cory in the High School Dance Competition (HSDC). HSDC is a competition which involves many schools across Melbourne and focuses on dance with the underlying theme of Bollywood. The competition allows students to demonstrate their skills, as well as developing a sense of confidence and social skills throughout the event. The competition was filled with amazing performances from each school, as well as entertaining performances from various dancers and musicians. 

Suzanne Cory was thrilled to receive 3 awards on this day; Second Place, Best Ballot Box, and Best Female Dancer, which went to our team member Niya Vinay in Year 9. The team is very proud of our achievements after the immense amounts of hard work, time and practice that was put into the performance throughout the year, including afterschool hours. 

Our outstanding performance and several awards could not have been achieved without the help of our leaders (Diya Sonu, Hansika Rakesh, Ashnadhi Jaiprakash and Vanalika Puri), choreographers, the HSDC co-curricular teacher Ms Garg, and all the dancers who put in several hours of practice throughout the whole year.

Congratulations to Zayan Haq on Writing Success!

We are thrilled to announce that Zayan Haq has achieved 2nd place in the prestigious Imagination Creation's Writing Competition 2024 with his captivating poem, *Auburn*. This accomplishment highlights his creativity and talent in expressive writing. Join us in celebrating Zayan's success and his contribution to our school’s proud tradition of literary excellence!

The Imagination Creation Writing Competition is a biennial competition run by Wyndham City Libraries.

In this year’s competition we had 559 entries from brilliant young writers in Wyndham, and from all over Victoria. Congratulations to all who entered the 2024 competition.
