Head In The Clouds - A Youthled, Nonprofit Organisation
WHO ARE WE?
Head In The Clouds (HITC) is a nonprofit organisation, led by the youth, for the youth. We seek to enable underprivileged children to dream big so that no barriers stop them from reaching their full potential. This organisation realises every child deserves to have their head in the clouds.
KEY AREAS OF INTEREST
Our three key areas of interest are youth homelessness, displacement of youth due to conflict, and alarming child marriage rates across the globe. We are committed to and working towards discovering an effective way to decrease the number of youth facing hopelessness and stop the cycle of developmental setbacks against their will. We want to empower youth across Australia and, hopefully, across the globe, fostering a generation full of opportunities and brighter futures.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Currently, we are hosting a donation drive across the community. We will be collecting clothing items, food items and hygiene products in order to provide to a youth shelter. We have support from neighbouring schools like Al-Taqwa College, Werribee Secondary College and Islamic College of Melbourne, and we cannot wait to receive support from our very own Suzanne Cory High School! Alongside these brilliant schools, we will also be collecting from Arndell Community Centre, in order to maximise our total donations!

Big Summer Read - Wyndham Libraries
Join. Borrow. Read. Win!
1st December – 31st January
Get reading this summer by joining the BIG Summer Read, a statewide competition open to under 18s! The competition aims to keep children reading over the summer holidays.
Research has shown that children experience something called the ‘summer slide’, a loss of literacy skills estimated at two to three months of reading proficiency, if they stop reading over the summer holidays. Public Libraries Victoria has developed the BIG Summer Read as a fun and dynamic campaign to engage children and families in slowing the slide.
Pre-registration for this year’s competition opens November 4 2024.
