VCE English

Our Year 12 English students have just completed their second SAC, where they explored the framework ‘Protest’ and analysed the outcomes it can achieve. This task challenged students to think critically about the ways individuals and groups seek change, and to evaluate the effectiveness and consequences of different forms of protest.
Students are now beginning their next area of study, where they will analyse Yoko Ogawa’s dystopian novel, The Memory Police. This thought-provoking text invites students to consider themes of memory, loss and control, and will form the basis for their text response essay SAC and Section A of the English exam.
