Year 9 News
Welcome back to Term 2!
We feel so lucky to still be getting lots of warm days - even if the mornings are quite chilly! We have another jam-packed term, and we look forward to celebrating the successes of our Year 9 students.
Firstly, a huge congratulations to one of our co-ordinators, Miss Bec Cope, who has moved to the Year 7 space as a Leading Teacher. Although we will miss her kindness and dedication in Yr 9, we know that the Year 7 team is so lucky to have her joining them.
As a result, we now welcome Miss Holly Ruwoldt who has joined our team as a co-ordinator with Miss Ronnie Couch. Miss Ruwoldt has moved over from the Year 12 Office, and has previously taught at Dimboola Memorial Secondary College and St Brigid’s College. Miss Ruwoldt has already made such an impression on our Year 9’s and we feel lucky to have her expertise!
Some friendly reminders as we settle into a new term:
Full School Winter Uniform - This includes beanies and jackets!
Wellbeing appointments - Appointments are to be made through Cass (no drop-ins please).
Absences - Please ring the absence line OR update SEQTA if your child is going to be away.
Melbourne Camp - Dates are locked for the 19th-21st of August. There are limited spaces, however more information will come out over the next few weeks.

School For Student Leadership - Snowy River Campus (TERM 3)
Horsham College has been fortunate to obtain four places for Year 9 students at the School for Student Leadership. The successful applicants (2 male and 2 female students) will participate in a term-long program at the Snowy River campus during Term 3, 2026.
Nomination forms will go out this week. Applicants will be interviewed by a panel of staff who will determine the most suitable team of students to attend the School for Student leadership during Term 3, 2026.
