Mazenod Machinists

The Mazenod Machinists recently competed in the 2025 Melbourne FIRST Robotics Competition off-season event at Blackburn High School. Now in its fourth year, the tournament brought together some of the sharpest student engineering minds from across the country for a weekend of fast-paced, team-driven robotics challenges.

Mazneod Open Chess Tournament

On Friday, 4th July, over 60 Mazenod students came to the College on a student-free day to compete in the Mazenod Open Chess Tournament, a major event on the College’s chess calendar.

The tournament brought together players across three divisions, helping to determine internal rankings and guide selection for the upcoming ACC and State Chess teams.

Congratulations to Dylan (Year 7/8), Abel (Year 9/10) and Dinh Phan (Open), who each took out top place in their respective divisions. Well done to all competitors for their commitment to the Chess program.
