Spring Concert

Our Spring Concert, held on Monday October 20th, was a wonderful celebration of the wide range of Ensembles we have at Wheelers Hill. From our Concert and Stage Bands, to our Choir and Rock Bands, it was great to see and hear the progress that all our groups have made throughout the year. None of this would be possible without our amazing instrumental teachers, and I thank all of them for their support of our program. It was fantastic to have such a large and supportive audience, and we also thank parents and carers for their support of our instrumental program.

VCE Music Recitals

On Thursday October 23rd, our Unit 2 VCE Music Students presented their Semester 2 Recitals in D01 to their families. These students have worked hard to prepare a varied musical program, and they have been supported throughout the year by VCE Music Teacher Annie Stone. We wish Annie all the best as she starts her Maternity leave this week. Both her classroom and Voice students will miss her greatly! 

Beginner Concert Band

The Beginner Concert Band will perform at the Victorian School Music Festival on Monday November 10th. We’ve been holding some additional rehearsals during class to help them be as well prepared as possible for this performance, and it will be a great experience for these students to be able to perform at Hawthorn Town Hall, and receive valuable feedback and guidance from adjudicators.
