Years 7-8 Debating

Our Years 7-8 students have been working diligently to prepare for their inter-school debates. The team completed an internal debate between Team 2 and Team 3 on the topic: That it should be compulsory for fast food to have plain packaging. This helped students ensure they were confident with their rebuttals prior to Round 1. Below are some photos from the internal debate. 

Round 1 marked a triumphant start to the season, with all three teams winning their debates against Tintern Grammar. Special mention goes to Stan S (8.5) and Jessica S (8.7) who were named best speakers of their debates. In Round 2, the Team competed on Wednesday 12 November against Tintern Grammar in Round 2. Two out of three of our groups won their debates. Thank you to everyone who participated!
