R. L. Stine’s Birthday – 8th October

Gallery Image

To celebrate R.L. Stine's birthday on Wednesday, 8th October, we did a spooky Goosebumps reading at recess, followed by students creating their own endings to the story. All enjoyed some green birthday cake.

R.L. Stine is famous for writing children's and young adult horror novels, particularly for his best-selling and iconic book series, Goosebumps, and Fear Street.

Library Monitors

Anna K 9G has been leading the way in our Halloween displays and bookmark making. Our monitors are also being trained in book processing. They are looking forward to greater opportunities in planning our new library in 2026.

All students are invited to volunteer as library lunchtime monitors. They are rewarded with credits and library privileges.

Erin A12F – Reading Café & First Book Borrowed

Erin has been an enthusiastic and competitive participant in our Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge competitions, kindly volunteered to be a library monitor this year, and has been a passionate supporter of our college library.

As a parting ‘gift’, she has designed our reading café checklist cards. To show our appreciation to Erin, we rewarded her with the first book she borrowed from our library, The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid. This may become a new tradition for future Year 12 students to be reunited with the first book they borrowed from the college library.
