Cricket Blast

This term alongside Cricket Victoria I will be running a free, 4-week Woolworths Cricket Blast program for any female students who would like to get involved in playing cricket. The program is sponsored by Cricket Australia and Commonwealth Bank but most excitingly is fully funded with zero cost to the school or participants.  

 

The program is designed to engage female students at our school as well as provide an opportunity for cricket participation and link them to a local Cricket Club such as Buninyong or Mt Clear Cricket Clubs. See below for further details:

 

Eligible group/s:​

  • Female participants must be aged 5 – 12 years old.

 Program Details

  • Registration: Each participant will need to register to the program on the PlayHQ System. Please see the QR Code attached to this post. 
  • Timing: Term 4 2023- Tuesdays 3.40-4.40pm
  • Inclusions: Each participant receives a shoulder bag, drink bottle and mascot stress ball
  • Program Delivery: Cricket Victoria will organise and provide all the required equipment and deliver/coach each session for the duration of the program. A local cricket club representative or community leader will also be encouraged to attend and assist where appropriate to develop opportunities for participants to continue to play cricket.

Basketball Ballarat Term 4 Community Programs 

Basketball Ballarat provide children with a fun and safe basketball experience that will serve as an introduction to a lifetime involvement in the game. A wide variety of introduction to basketball programs are ran by Basketball Ballarat, allowing children to start learning basketball as young as 2 years old.

 

Basketball Ballarat’s introduction to basketball programs:

  • Aussie Hoops – perfect for children aged 4 – 7 years 
  • Rookie Hoops – perfect for children aged 8 – 11 years 
  • All Abilities Rookie Hoops – perfect for children aged 5 – 18 years whom are living with a disability 
  • Mini Miners – perfect for kindergarten aged children, 2 – 4 years
  • Next Level – suited for domestic players 2011-2013 born 

Registrations are now open for all community hoops programs, with the programs starting the week beginning October 9th.
