Japanese Day

にほん まつり -- Nihon Matsuri -- Japan Festival

Wow, what a celebration we had on Friday for our annual Japan Festival. 

We had amazing performances by the St Alipius student Taiko drummers and Ballarat Kendo Club, Manga workshops led by artist Sam Harmer and a Showko Comedy puppet show. There was an amazingly popular Japan Shop at lunch (sorry if you missed out on your favourite item!) and a delicious Japanese themed lunch. Even Pikachu stopped by!

The rest of the day was filled with Japanese sports, relays and craft projects. It was wonderful to see all students enjoying exploring Japanese language and culture whilst decked out in their Japanese costumes.
