🎨 WILD ABOUT ART – FESTIVAL UPDATE!

Well, things are certainly starting to warm up as spring has sprung and preparations are well underway for our upcoming Art Festival, ‘Wild About Art’, which will be held at school on Thursday 15th October from 3.30pm - 6pm.

We had some fantastic entries for our competition to design the poster for this year’s festival, and our Art Captains, Aurora and Olivia, found it very difficult to choose a winner! Thank you to everyone who entered and shared their wonderful ideas.

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes to Evie P from 2D, whose beautiful painting of an elephant perfectly captures this year’s Wild About Art theme. Well done, Evie!

The festival promises to be a fantastic afternoon for our whole community, with plenty of fun, food and fabulous artwork. There will be an auction of student collaborative artworks, teacher Mystery Bags, indoor and outdoor games, Backwards Bingo, student performances and a photo booth. And, to satisfy those hungry tummies, we’ll have a BBQ, cake stall and coffee van. And, we couldn’t forget the Chocolate Toss – always a crowd favourite!

But, of course, the star of the show will be our Art Gallery, where we will celebrate the creativity, imagination and artistic talents of our students. Our children have been busy creating throughout the year, and I absolutely cannot wait to show off their incredible artwork!

Entry to the gallery is by gold coin donation and some of the activities require gold coins to participate so start collecting your coins to join in the fun. 

We hope to see lots of our GRPS families there for a wonderful afternoon of art, fun and community!
