Davina Cox (Year 12), who has successfully auditioned for PAC's Young Industry Project, a two-week pre-professional musical theatre intensive. Davina was also successful in winning a Regional Arts Fund grant from RANT, which will be used towards funding her attendance.

 

Mia Styles and Amelia Watson (Year 7), who have earned selection in the Tassie Devils Academy, a Junior AFL Development Program. Mia will be playing in representative matches against players in the north and north west of Tasmania in the coming months. In addition to this, Mia was also recently selected to play in the Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League representative football games which see the strongest players from each of the clubs split into teams to play against each other.

In more great news, Mia and fellow Year 7 student, Estelle Leary have both been selected for the Tasmanian State Water Polo team that will play in the 13&U National Development Carnival to be held in Hobart from 4-7 July 2024. 

 

Emily Yan, Mia Wanandy, Harper Bowerman, Sylvie Gundry and Lottie Zabel (Year 5), who came away with first place in the recent Year 5/6 Ethics Olympiad. The students strongly represented St Mary's College and Tasmania on the day, which involved three rounds of philosophical inquiry and matching wits against Ethletes from all over Australia and New Zealand. The students will be presented with their gold medals and certificates at an assembly early in Term 3. Well done to all students on this outstanding achievement.
