SEQTA Engage - Access to Student Reports

As per the SEQTA Engage information sent at the start of the year, all parents/carers are asked to download the free SEQTA Engage app onto their phones. Alternatively, it can be accessed by the website link – https://salvado.engage.cewa.edu.au/

We request that parents/carers check that they can access this system now (and prior to the end of term) so that you can access your child/ren’s report/s over the holidays.

If you require any assistance with your account setup, please email admin@salvado.wa.edu.au.

Parents/Carers are also reminded to download and save all of your child/ren’s reports from SEQTA Engage to your own devices.

Recall of Contaminated Sand

Earlier this week, there was important information about a product safety recall of Educational Colours – Rainbow Sand, Creatistics – Coloured Sand and Kadink – Coloured Decorative Sand, that is sometimes used in schools.

The suppliers have issued this recall as some batches may contain asbestos. Testing has not found any respiratory asbestos (fibres that can be breathed in), and the overall risk has been assessed as low.

CEWA is following the guidance of Product Safety Australia, in liaison with the Department of Education and other government agencies and is taking the appropriate steps including removing this product from our school.

For further information on the products that have been recalled, please visit the ACCC website: Product Safety Australia - Educational Colours Sand Recall

As more information is received, we will provide further updates.

If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover. This helps protect the health of all students and staff. Thank you for your cooperation.

Abernethy Road Entrance

Child safety is a vital aspect of school operations. With the College undergoing extensive building projects, sometimes the community will need to be responsive with child safety in mind.

Recently the College wrote to the community about building works occurring near the Abernethy Rd entrance. The temporary fencing is encroaching onto this access point, meaning that it is not safe for pedestrian access.

The College will have extra staff on duty to direct pedestrians away from the Abernethy Rd entrance. This will mean that the closest pedestrian access is on Warrington St. Please do speak with your children to ensure that they are aware of this request.

Thank you in advance of your support.
