With the first half of Term Four behind us, our students are now at the business end of the year. Final assessments are approaching, and the organisational and planning skills they have developed throughout the year will be more important than ever.

It has been fantastic to see so many students engaging with Atomi, our online learning platform, as they prepare for upcoming tests. All secondary students can access Atomi on their iPads, where they’ll find lessons, quizzes, and practice tests designed to support and extend their learning, no matter where they are on their educational journey.

We encourage parents and caregivers to regularly check SEQTA Engage at home. This platform provides visibility of upcoming tests and assignments, and the SEQTA Notices section is a great way to stay informed about opportunities and events still happening in Term Four.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s subject teachers. We also remind families to review the College Assessment and Reporting Guidelines. These guidelines outline important procedures for absences during assessments and family holidays.

Supporting Your Child During Test Season

Here are a few simple ways to help your child succeed:

• Create a quiet study space free from distractions.

• Encourage short, focused study sessions with regular breaks.

• Check SEQTA together to stay on top of deadlines.

• Promote healthy habits—good sleep, balanced meals and hydration.

• Offer reassurance and remind them that effort matters as much as results.
