Grade 4

The Grade 4 students have made a wonderful start to Term 3. It has been a busy start with our swimming lessons commencing during week 1. All of the students did a wonderful job and we are looking forward to our final lesson next week. 

During English lessons, the students have been working on a text study of the novel The Tales of Despereaux. We are thoroughly enjoying reading the text and using it as a platform for our persuasive writing. 

Math lessons over the past few weeks have given the students the opportunity to develop their knowledge of angles and money. It has been wonderful to see the students working hard on these topics and applying their knowledge to real word problems. 

Our Integrated Studies concept this term is Forces and Functions. Students used Caine’s Arcade as inspiration for this unit of work where they are using the design process and their knowledge of forces to create their very own arcade game. We have been incredibly impressed so far by the collaboration students have shown in the planning and creation process. We are looking forward to seeing the students' creations.
