Grade 3

What a wonderful start to the term we’ve had! This term, Grade 3 teachers will begin awarding Joining Licences. We have already had Pyjama Day and the Book Fair Dress Up Day. Both of these gave us a few days to be creative with our outfits!

English

In English, the Grade 3s have been busy studying the award-winning Australian novel, Brindabella. Over the past few weeks, we have been analysing the setting, dialogue, the idea of anthropomorphism and text to self connections! 

Maths

We began the term looking at money and practising our skills and knowledge using and identifying our currency. We have now moved on to vertical addition and subtraction.

Integrated Studies

We have used Integrated as an opportunity to look at the Commonwealth Games. We began the term by exploring a world map to identify the countries that participate in the games. Students have since been researching athletes and using the information to create an athlete profile and presentation.
