The Issue Highlights
Dear Families and Carers,
It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through Term 2!
This term has been full of a range of activities, and I’m proud of the progress our students have made—both in their learning and in their personal development.
We like to acknowledge and celebrate every step forward, no matter how big or small. Whether it’s trying a new activity, communicating in a new way, or showing kindness to a classmate, each achievement shows the hard work of our students, staff, and families working together.
With the winter months fast approaching, it's also a timely reminder to look after our wellbeing—rest, healthy routines, and staying connected. They all play an important part in supporting the learning of our students. I encourage all families to reach out if there’s anything we can do to support you.
Save the Date - Winter Fete
Next Friday, 6th June is our Winter Fete. This annual event is a highlight of our school calendar and a great opportunity for our community to come together.
Our Winter Fete will be filled with fun activities, delicious food and many novelties that our staff and students have worked hard to produce for each other. One of the highlights will be our raffle, featuring some truly amazing prizes generously donated by local businesses and our school community. We would love to see you there any time between 11.00am and 1.30pm in the school courtyard.
Second hand uniforms for Winter Fete
If any families have uniforms that their children have outgrown we would love the donation via the school office. We hope to have a second hand uniform shop at the Winter Fete in June. It would be much appreciated if they had been washed for future sale.
Just a reminder that the King’s Birthday public holiday is coming up on Monday, 10 June. The school will be closed for the long weekend. School will resume on Tuesday 11th June.
I’d like to remind all families about SchoolTV, which is an important resource available to support the wellbeing of our students and families.
SchoolTV provides a wealth of expert information, guidance, and practical strategies on a wide range of topics relevant to today’s parenting challenges—from managing screen time and cyber safety to dealing with anxiety, resilience, and mental health.
