In this edition of SchoolTV - Friendship & Belonging
This fortnight, School TV is shining a light on the importance of Friendship and Belonging. Friendships play a vital role in a child’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, and sense of belonging within our Jackson School community. This week, parents and families will find expert advice, practical tips, and real-life stories about helping children build healthy friendships, navigate social challenges, and feel connected and valued.
It’s a great resource for supporting your child’s social and emotional development — and for fostering a kind, inclusive school environment where everyone feels they belong. Belonging to a group that is like-minded with similar interests is highly beneficial to a young person’s wellbeing. It gives them a sense of security helping them feel valued which in turn builds their confidence.
This will help children to obtain and maintain friendships. However, not all friendship are regarded as positive. Sometimes young people develop negative or toxic friendships. Therefore it is also important for them to learn how to identify, avoid or deal with such a friendship. Building Friendships link: https://jacksons.vic.schooltv.me/newsletter-resource/7067/8074
