Middle School News

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Upper Primary students have been learning about the importance of eating a balanced diet and have enjoyed learning to make their own sandwiches. In Numeracy, we have been learning to collect data and add two groups together. Students have enjoyed the swimming program, with lessons finishing this week. All classes are now beginning preparations for the Winter Fete. We hope to see you there! 

Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)

Last week the 7/8 students attended City Camp. On Wednesday we took part in an Amazing Race around the city finding lots of Melbourne landmarks. On Thursday we visited Victoria Market, a boat trip on the Yarra River and the Eureka Sky Deck. Some students even went on ‘The Edge’! On Friday we visited Sea Life before returning to school. 

This week in our Inquiry topic we had some parents visit us for a career exposition where they told us about their jobs. The students asked lots of good questions regarding careers! Also, in Inquiry in 7/8D we have been making our product for Winter Fete.
