Interact update - Lift the Lid
On Sunday 22 March our interact members woke up super early and volunteered at the ‘Lift the Lid’ park run fundraiser. A super fun day raising money for a good cause!
The Lift the Lid Walk event is a national initiative used to raise awareness on mental illness across Australia. It gives communities an opportunity to come together and Lift the Lid on Mental Illness.
Hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Australia, our wonderful KSC interact members were able to help out and cheer on the runners! All funds raised from the walks go into mental health research through Australian Rotary Health.
Thank you again to everyone who ran or volunteered, let’s see what we can achieve next year!

SRC World Greatest Shave 2026
Last Friday the SRC presidents Lauren and Kayla held and organised the World's Greatest Shave event.
With the help of our SRC Ambassadors and many volunteers from our leadership team we successfully organised our bake sale, sausage sizzle, hairspray and hair braiding stations and our main event of hair shaving.
We had a total of 7 people: Remy, James, Jude, Dylan, Kinly and Mr Tozer shaving their heads to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation. Special thanks to Joe from Sleeki Hair Studio who volunteered his time to shave their heads. They all raised a combined total of $7,577 for the leukaemia foundation.
In total we raised an amazing $9,000. Overall, it was a super successful day with lots of fun had with all the activities going on during the day and money raised for research into Leukaemia and support provided to individuals suffering from the disease and their families.
