Hey Karoo-ians,

What a great term we have had in Media. Full of excitement, exploration, and creativity!

I also wanted to share some exciting news… we’ve welcomed some brand-new additions to the Media room!

Karoo has recently upgraded our Media devices, and the students couldn’t be happier. Our new Lenovo Yoga laptops are fully convertible to touchscreen tablets and come with styluses, making them perfect for digital drawing and animation. This opens up exciting new and interactive ways for students to explore technology at school. Even better, we now have a 1:1 setup in Media, which means every student has access to their own laptop during class. 

Students have already been putting them to good use – editing films, enhancing photography projects, developing coding skills, creating animations, and so much more. These versatile and powerful devices are already helping to strengthen students’ technical skills and knowledge. They are the next step in providing our students with the exposure and opportunities they need to become confident, capable digital citizens – both now and in the future.
