LOTE (Mandarin)

Lower Grades (Foundation- Year 2)

In Term 3, the lower grades enjoyed reading a variety of Chinese idiom stories and singing Mandarin songs, where they discovered new vocabulary and the cultural lessons hidden within the tales and rhythm.

Upper Grades (Year 3-Year 6)

The upper grades had a wonderful time “flying” to China in their lessons. They explored Chinese eating customs and famous landmarks, and also learned how to use chopsticks. Students especially enjoyed this practical activity, which gave them a fun and memorable way to connect with Chinese culture.

Looking Ahead

We are very excited to celebrate CHINESE DAY in Term 4! On this special day, students will have the chance to take part in fun cultural activities, taste traditional food (special lunch order) and enjoy performances that bring Chinese traditions to life. It will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to celebrate language and culture together!
