Sport Update

College Division Carnival

 

On Thursday, 22nd of  August, our Athletics team represented the College at Division Carnival. 

 

EMC was represented with a massive team of 97 students with only 4 of the 178 events not having an EMC student competing. 

 

Event results are still being finalised, but EMC will be represented by over 20 students at Region Athletics next Term. 

 

Overall EMC came 2nd out of all the school that competed!

 

 

Langwarrin Family Chiropractic Achievement of the Year Award

The “Achievement of the Year” award, proudly sponsored by Langwarrin Family Chiropractic, recognises the incredible achievements of a student each month. These students will be formally recognised at the Sports Awards Evening at the end of the year, with one  awarded as “Achievement of the Year”.

 

This months Achievement of the Year award Nominee is Asha Morrow. 

Asha Morrow B93, competed at our College cross country carnival winning the 14’s cross country making it through to Division where she went on to finish second. Asha qualified for Region Cross country where she competed against the best cross country runners in Southern Metropolitan region, completing the 3km course in a time of 11:27 finishing in second place.Asha progressed through to the State Championships where she competed against the best cross country runners in the State. The State course, Held at Yarra Valley Race course, was extremely tough. Hills and mud pushed all athletes to their limit with Asha demonstrating determination and perseverance to finish 10th overall- An Outstanding Achievement!
