Science Update
National Science Week
In week 5, EMC celebrated National Science Week with the theme of Species Survival.
This event was a great success with an amazing amount of participation and interest throughout the week’s activities. All events could not keep up with demand; resources were exhausted prior to the end the lunch!
We started on Monday with the giant slingshot, followed by an Elephant Toothpaste demonstration and DIY Ice cream on Wednesday, student interaction with an EMC petting zoo and plant potting down at the farm on Thursday, and finally a bamboozling from optical illusions on Friday.
In addition to this, we had a large number of contestants for the species survival quiz to go in the chance to win the Village Cinemas passes.
Please see the winners below:
Major prize winner (Family pass): Lillie H (A8.3)
Minor prize winners (Double pass): Hezekiah E (A10.2) and Harry G (B9.1)
Thank you to all the staff who were involved in bringing this event together and all students and families that participated.
