Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to you all for the start of Term 3! I hope you all enjoyed a restful break and were able to spend time with your family and friends. After 6 weeks away enjoying a European summer, I am slowly getting used the much colder weather!
Term 3 is a very exciting term and one of the biggest highlights of Term 3 is Book Week! Book Week begins on Saturday 22nd August - Friday 28th August. This year, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) theme is Symphony of Stories! The theme celebrates how different characters, voices, and tales come together, just like instruments in an orchestra, to create one harmonious whole. It’s all about celebrating the unique stories that bring our reading community to life.
Please take note of a change of date for our annual Book Week Parade so you can update your calendars:
- New Date: Friday, 28th August 2026
- Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Basketball Courts
We invite all students on that day to come dressed as their favourite book character. Parents and carers are warmly invited to come along, cheer on the children, and enjoy the parade.
